TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Services Provided
The Chefette SRQ agrees to provide the following personal chef services to the Client:
- Menu planning/collaborations and customization based on Client preferences, dietary restrictions, and any allergies.
- Grocery shopping for ingredients.
- Meal preparation, cooking, and packaging for Client(s), and providing heating instructions.
- Clean-up and kitchen organization after meal preparation.
2. Schedule and Duration of Services
The Chefette SRQ will provide services to the Client on their agreed upon cook days
- The duration of each service can range from 4–8 hours depending on the number of meals and the type of dish being prepared.
- Any changes to the schedule must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
3. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide the Chef with information regarding any allergies, dietary restrictions, and preferences prior to the first session.
- Ensure that the kitchen is accessible, clean, and equipped with necessary tools and appliances for meal preparation.
- Provide payment for services as outlined in Section 4.
- Notify the Chef of any changes to the meal plan, schedule, or services at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.
4. Payment, Billing, Grocery Reimbursement, and Additional Portions
Fees. The Client agrees to pay The Chefette SRQ for the meal plan package, subscription, and any additional services or portions selected by the Client and confirmed by The Chefette SRQ.
Payment Authorization. The Client authorizes The Chefette SRQ and its payment processor, Stripe, to securely store and charge the Client’s selected payment method for all amounts due under this Agreement, including recurring meal plan fees, grocery reimbursements, additional portions, cancellation fees, and any other approved charges.
Recurring Meal Plan Billing. Meal plan service fees will be billed automatically through Stripe on either a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the package selected by the Client. The applicable billing frequency, package price, and included services will be confirmed at signup, through the Client’s online account, or in writing.
Grocery Reimbursement. Grocery costs are separate from meal plan service fees unless otherwise stated. The Client authorizes The Chefette SRQ to charge the Client’s payment method through Stripe for grocery reimbursement automatically on the day the Chef completes the scheduled cook at the Client’s residence. Grocery reimbursement charges are based on the actual grocery costs incurred for the Client’s scheduled service.
Additional Portions. Additional portions may be requested by the Client and are subject to availability and confirmation by The Chefette SRQ. Approved additional portions will be charged at $50 per portion, in addition to the Client’s regular meal plan fees and any applicable grocery reimbursement. Additional portion charges may be billed automatically through Stripe using the Client’s payment method on file.
Failed or Declined Payments. If a payment method is declined, expired, or otherwise unable to be charged, the Client agrees to promptly update their payment information and pay any outstanding balance. The Chefette SRQ reserves the right to pause or cancel future services until all outstanding amounts are paid.
Subscription Changes. The Client may make changes to their subscription, billing information, or meal plan package by logging into their account at https://table.thechefettesrq.com or by contacting The Chefette SRQ at hello@thechefettesrq.com. Changes may be subject to scheduling availability and must be submitted with reasonable notice before the next scheduled cook day or billing cycle.
Cancellations. If the Client cancels a scheduled service with less than 48 hours’ notice, the Client agrees to pay a cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost. Cancellation fees may be charged automatically through Stripe using the Client’s payment method on file.
5. Confidentiality
The Chefette SRQ agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information, recipes, and preferences shared by the Client. The Chefette SRQ will not share any details of the Client's private information without prior consent from the Client.
6. Liability and Indemnification
The Chefette SRQ agrees to provide services in a professional manner and to follow food safety protocols. However, the Chef is not responsible for any food allergies or reactions unless the Client has clearly communicated such issues in advance.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Chef from any claims, damages, or liability arising from food allergies, sensitivities, or other health-related issues unless caused by negligence on the part of the Chef.
7. Kitchen Equipment Use and Care
The Chefette SRQ will take reasonable care when using the Client’s kitchen equipment, tools, and appliances. Normal wear and tear on pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen items is expected in the course of regular meal preparation.
In the unlikely event that an item is damaged beyond repair due to negligence or accident during service, The Chefette SRQ will either replace the item or offer a reasonable discount to the Client on their next invoice, as agreed upon by both parties.
8. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate this Agreement with written notice if either party breaches any term of this Agreement or for any reason with 7 days' written notice.
Upon termination, the Client agrees to pay for any services rendered up to the date of termination.
9. Miscellaneous
Force Majeure: Neither party will be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to acts of God, death of a loved one, strikes, or government regulations.
Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida.Amendments: Any amendments or modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
10. Harassment and Conduct Policy
The Chefette SRQ is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment during all client engagements. Sexual harassment or any form of inappropriate, discriminatory, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated from either party.
Sexual harassment includes but is not limited to: unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.
If either party experiences or witnesses conduct that violates this policy, they should document the behavior and may terminate the agreement immediately with written notice. In such cases, the offending party may be held responsible for any remaining balance due or cancellation fees, as applicable.
11. Client Feedback & Satisfaction
The Chefette SRQ is committed to delivering the highest level of personalized service. In order to continually improve and tailor our offerings, client feedback is essential. Clients are encouraged to complete a brief satisfaction survey provided with each invoice.
The survey can be accessed through the message section of every invoice sent via QuickBooks. Feedback collected will be used solely to enhance the quality, consistency, and customization of the services provided.
